Pomona Double Shooting: Woman Found Dead, Man Critical, in Vehicle Parked Outside Home

A man and woman were found shot, one fatally, early Sunday morning in the back seat of a vehicle parked in the driveway of a Pomona home, authorities aid.

A caller at 2:50 a.m. reported a shooting in the 1300 block of Caprino Way, according to a news release from the Pomona Police Department.

Officers went to the location and found the two victims inside the vehicle. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene, the statement said, and the man was airlifted to a hospital in critical condition.

Homicide investigators responded to the scene.

The Police Department later identified the victims as Vanessa Renee Lopez, 28, and Manuel Flores Jr., 30, both of Los Angeles.

No other information was available.
