Woman Suspected of Stabbing Victim in Neck in Fontana Taken Into Custody

A woman suspected of critically wounding a man by stabbing him in the neck was taken into custody over the weekend, Fontana police announced Tuesday.

Martha Fabiola Castillo, 29, fled a home in the 7900 block of Bennett Avenue (map) at about 1:10 p.m. Thursday following the stabbing, the Fontana Police Department stated in a news release.

The victim, who had been stabbed in the neck, was taken to a local hospital where he remained in critical condition Tuesday, the Police Department stated.

Investigators on Saturday determined Castillo was in the city of El Monte, where she was taken into custody by Fontana Police detectives and Rapid Response officers, according to the news release.

Castillo was booked on suspicion of attempted murder, according to the Police Department.
