Daniel Oglesby was returning home to Colorado from an eight-month deployment in Southeast Asia, and his daughter just couldn’t wait any longer to see him.

The adorable moment was captured on video Wednesday as the soldiers from Fort Carson’s 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division waited before they could greet their families.

“She was excited. She spotted me from a couple rows back and she couldn’t contain herself,” Oglesby told Colorado TV station KKTV. “I wasn’t going to tell her no.”

Oglesby said it is difficult to be away, but it’s all worth it.

“Being gone for eight months — it’s tough. But once you see the look on their faces when you get back makes it worth it,” Oglesby told the station.
