One person was fatally shot and two others were wounded over an apparent dispute during a dice game at Tennessee State University, according to local police.

Three people were shot on the main campus and all were transported to an area hospital, CNN reported around 10:20 p.m.

One person had died, a tweet sent by the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department around 11:36 p.m. stated.

The shooting occurred over an apparent dispute over a dice game in an outdoor courtyard, police tweeted.

The condition of the two injured people was not known.

It was not clear if the gunman was among the injured or deceased.
