Three men were apprehended Thursday evening after they allegedly robbed a Radio Shack in Ontario and led police on a brief pursuit, officials said.

The suspects, one of whom was armed with a handgun, walked into the electronics store in the 1600 block of East Fourth Street about 7:15 p.m. and demanded money, said Lt. Mike Lorenze of the Ontario Police Department.

The men took 120 cellphones and other personal items and fled the scene in a vehicle, the lieutenant said.

Officers responded to a call about the incident and located the vehicle near the Miliken Avenue and the 10 Freeway, according to Lorenze.

A pursuit ensued. After the vehicle became disabled at the 10 Freeway and Cedar Avenue in Bloomington, the three occupants ran away on foot, police said.

Two of the suspects were found hiding in a railroad boxcar, Lorenze said, and the third man was taken into custody nearby by a K-9 unit.

A gun was recovered from the area, according to the Police Department.

No injuries were reported.
