A 27-year-old former Disneyland employee was sentenced Friday to one year in jail after pleading guilty to trying to trade park tickets for sex with a minor.

Darreck Michael Enciso pleaded guilty to one felony count of attempted lewd act upon a child, one felony count of contacting a child with the intent to commit a specified sex crime, and one felony count of meeting a minor with the intent to engage in lewd conduct, according to a news release from the Orange County District Attorney’s Office.

The Adelanto man was also ordered to complete five years of formal probation and register as a lifetime sex offender, the release stated.

While employed at the Disneyland Resort last July, Enciso posted an ad on Craigslist seeking women willing to engage in sex acts in exchange for tickets to the theme parks, prosecutors said.

Enciso believed he was setting up a meeting with a willing 14-year-old when, in fact, he had been communicating the entire time with an undercover Huntington Beach police officer, the DA’s office stated.

When Enciso arrived at the prearranged meeting location with condoms and Disneyland tickets, officers were waiting to arrest him, the release stated.
