Daniel Flores was identified by police as a suspect over the weekend in the slaying of Anna Hernandez, whose partially decomposed body was found behind an apartment on Nov. 18, according to the station.

Authorities considered Flores armed and dangerous. A photo of the suspect has been released, but police did not provide a detailed description.

His whereabouts were unknown.

A teen was arrested last Friday on suspicion of being an accessory in Hernadez’s killing, KSWB reported. Officials weren’t releasing the name of the person due to their age.

Hernandez had been missing for five days before she was found dead. An autopsy determined she died after being shot at least once in the upper torso.

Meanwhile, police found a 12-year-old friend of the slain girl who had also been reported missing on Nov. 13, according to the television station.

Nelly Espinoza was found safe in Tijuana on Friday by her grandfather, the television station reported. She was uninjured and not a victim of any crime, police said.

Her grandfather brought the girl to the San Ysidro point-of-entry, where Nelly was turned over to authorities and would be reunited with her mother.
