Two women were being sought Thursday after a 24-year-old man was found fatally stabbed in Highland Park, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Patrol officers responded to an “ambulance cutting” near North Figueroa Street and Avenue 59 around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, the LAPD stated in a news release.

Bryan Wilfredo Najarro, 24, was found suffering from multiple stab wounds and pronounced dead at the scene by Los Angeles Fire Department officials, according to the LAPD.

Multiple women in their 30s who were wearing dark clothing were being sought in connection to Najarro’s death, according to the news release. They were believed to have left the area in a black sedan on Avenue 59.

Although some witnesses reported seeing two women leave the scene, others later said they saw male attackers, according to Officer Ryan Watterson, who added that investigators still had multiple witnesses to interview.

The motive for the stabbing was not known, police added.
