Facebook video of a dog offering a wide grin in response to his foster mom’s “say cheese” command has earned the pooch affection from across the Internet.

The video of “Herbert,” a 5-month-old bully breed, was shared by animal advocacy group PAWS Chicago on Monday.

Since then, the 8-second clip has been viewed more than 12 million times.

"Herbert is totally exhausted from his day of going viral," PAWS Chicago wrote in sharing this photo from Amanda Robles.

"Herbert is totally exhausted from his day of going viral," PAWS Chicago wrote in sharing this photo from Amanda Robles.

Amanda Robles, who volunteers to foster animals for PAWS Chicago, first posted the video on Saturday evening.

“Don't you hate when people catch you trying to perfect your selfie smile?” PAWS Chicago said in sharing the video. “Herbert doesn't seem to mind showing off his pearly whites to impress his future family (especially for the treat he was being offered offscreen).”

The dog was rescued from the city pound and would be available for adoption in a few weeks, the organization stated.

Once Herbert is up for adoption — and inquiries were apparently pouring in — his profile will be posted on PAWS’ list of adoptable pets.

As of Wednesday, there were 124 other dogs and cats listed there, awaiting their forever homes.
