Gayle Anderson was live in Lancaster and Palmdale with FOR VETERANS SAKE, a non-profit organization that provides service dogs to vets for treatment of Posttraumatic Stress Disorder, more commonly known as PTSD.

Also, Gayle met with George Rios Ruiz, a terminally ill little boy who wants to be a PTSD dog handler, and Bear, a PTSD dog-in-training. Bear was donated to FOR VETERANS SAKE after KTLA’s Veterans Day segment last November. Rios Ruiz was made an honorary member of the U.S. Army by recruiters at PetSmart last month. Today, he used Bear to perform a mission with some of the recruiters who swore him in. After Bear completes his training, he will be given to a veteran in need of a PTSD dog.
