Investigation Underway Into On-Campus Sexual Assault Reported by UCLA Student

Police on Wednesday were investigating a report by a UCLA student that she was sexually assaulted on campus following a house party last week.

The woman came forward Saturday and told authorities she was attending a house party on Thursday in the 10900 block of Strathmore Avenue when she decided to leave about 11 p.m., the UCLA Police Department stated in a crime alert issued Tuesday.

An unknown man escorted her to her room on campus in the 200 block of De Neve Drive where he sexually assaulted her, the woman told police.

The attacker was described as a black man, about 5 feet 3 inches tall, between 20 and 25 years old with unknown eye color and unknown hair style.
