The incident took place as the officer arrived at the scene of a car crash near Highway 58 and Holmes in Belton, Missouri, last week, local television station KSHB reported.

Dashcam video caught the entire rescue, as the trooper saw the burning car and immediately ran to the vehicle.

The video showed the trooper pulling the woman to safety with the help of another person.

A few minutes later, the entire car was engulfed in flames.

The woman suffered serious injuries as a result of the crash, which was caused by a driver who ran a red light, KSHB reported.
