Man Killed in Hit-and-Run in Downtown L.A.; Multiple Vehicles Involved in Collision

A young man was killed and at least one person fled after a crash involving several vehicles in downtown Los Angeles Sunday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Few details were released in the deadly hit-and-run incident, which was reported around 6:06 a.m. and involved multiple vehicles, CHP Officer Monica Posada said.

Emergency responders appeared to be near South Santa Fe Avenue and Hunter Street, under the 10 Freeway.

An Asian man between 20 and 25 years old was killed in the incident, CHP Officer Alex Rubio said.

Officials did not say if he was in a vehicle or was a pedestrian.
