A mother has been arrested on suspicion of child endangerment after the disappearance of her 2-month-old daughter, the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department said Sunday.

The infant, identified as Ashlynn Thomas, was reported missing shortly before 7:30 p.m. Saturday, according to a news release from the Sheriff's Department.

She was found on Sunday morning and appeared to be in good health, the department tweeted shortly after 11 a.m.

Prior to being located, Ashlynn was last seen at the Days and Nights Inn on Bear Valley Road in Hesperia earlier on Saturday.

Deputies and detectives contacted family, friends and acquaintances of the mother, identified as Tina Baxter, but were unable to find the little girl, the release stated.

It was unclear where the baby girl was found. The Sheriff's Department said it would release more details about the case later.

Baxter has been arrested and booked on a child endangerment charge, authorities said.

Anyone with information about the case is urged to call Sheriff’s Dispatch at 760-956-5001 or Detective Rios at 760-947-1526 or 760-559-7921.
