A Rialto man suspected of shooting a pregnant woman and then carjacking a vehicle after robbing a gas station in San Bernardino last month has been arrested, police said Friday.
Authorities managed to track down Twonn Alonzo McCoy Thursday, after following up on several leads from witnesses and surveillance video, the San Bernardino Police Department stated in a news release.
McCoy allegedly pulled out a gun and shot a pregnant woman as the two were sitting in a car in the 1300 block of North F Street on May 29.
The victim was in critical condition when she was taken to a nearby hospital.
Following the shooting, McCoy fled on foot to a nearby gas station on West Baseline Street where he robbed the business at gunpoint and then carjacked a customer in the parking lot, according to the Police Department.
The carjacked vehicle was later found along the 10 Freeway in the Fontana area.
McCoy was expected to face attempted murder, robbery and carjacking charges, according to the Police Department.
