A fourth homeless man was attacked and critically injured early Wednesday on San Diego, and police said the crime matches the pattern of the previous attacks.

The victim also suffered "severe chest trauma" and the attacker tried to set him on fire on State Street south of Broadway in downtown about 5 a.m., police homicide Capt. David Nisleit said. He said passersby pulled a flaming towel off the man.

Meanwhile, San Diego police on Tuesday released a video of a man officials say is a suspect in a series of attacks on homeless men in the city that have left two dead and two injured.

The security camera video came from a local market and shows a man walking through the aisles. Meanwhile, officials continued to search for the suspect amid anxiety in San Diego’s homeless community.
