A woman was found shot to death in a car in Inglewood Tuesday morning, officials said.

About 5:45 a.m. Inglewood Police officers responded to a report of a suspicious car parked in the 7900 block of South Van Ness Avenue.

The woman was found suffering from at least one gunshot wound and she was pronounced dead at the scene, police said in a news release.

No other details were released and the woman has not been identified.

Tiiesha Lane of Gardena told KTLA on Tuesday that the 2002 silver Volvo belongs to her and was stolen two weeks ago from outside a convenience store.

Lane said she was shocked when she saw video of her car on television with a dead woman inside.
