Oscar Freddie Torres, of Santa Ana, was allegedly armed with a pistol when officers responded to a family disturbance call around 4:40 a.m. at a home on the 400 block of South Hesperian Street.

When police arrived at the home, Torres began firing in the direction of the officers, according to officials.

After allegedly shooting at the officers, he fled the scene and was later apprehended at his home. A pistol was recovered at the scene, police said.

The officers did not return fire and no one was injured in the shooting.
