El Monte Police officials released this surveillance photo of a man they believe robbed two gas stations in late August.

The suspect is seen on surveillance footage pointing a semi-automatic handgun at the cashier and demanding money.

The cashier handed over an undisclosed amount of cash from the register and his wallet and the suspect drove away from the scene. He was last seen driving east on the 10 Freeway, officials said.

Police believe the man has firearm training based on how he was holding the gun and have linked him to another robbery that occurred the next day in Fontana.

In the second robbery, the man was wearing a black security guard jacket and demanded money and cigarettes from the cashier while holding a handgun. That incident is being investigated by the San Bernardino Sheriff’s Department.
