Around 9 a.m. Los Angeles Airport Police  pulled over a driver in a stolen vehicle outside Terminal 3 at the airport’s lower level, Officer Rob Pedregon told the newspaper, and instructed some passengers to move inside.  Fearful for their safety, some passengers wound up walking past the Transportation Security Administration screening area and caused a security breach.

“The suspects were taken into custody without incident, operations have returned to normal, and we will keep the public apprised of any further developments,” Mayor Eric Garcetti said in a released statement.
