Comedian and actor George Lopez is one of America’s biggest comedic stars. But he had a tough upbringing and he has ruffled feathers in Hollywood. Where does his comedy come from and how did he make it? Those are among the questions we explored in “Frank Buckley Interviews: George Lopez.” I think you’ll hear George Lopez like you’ve never heard him before. George is honest about his personal failures and mistakes made, he takes us back to his difficult childhood, and he brings us behind the scenes in Hollywood.

These days you can find George starring in “Lopez on TV Land” which he also produces. But for many Americans, their first experience with George was in in his groundbreaking series “George Lopez” which rans for six years on ABC–a show he co-created, wrote, produced and starred in. George also hosted “Lopez Tonight” on TBS for two seasons, he’s authored two memoirs, and he continues to sell out arenas with his standup comedy tour.

On this podcast, I hope you’ll enjoy a good laugh and maybe be inspired by the kid from San Fernando who went on to be named to TIME’s “25 Most Influential Hispanics in America” list and to have a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
