Human Remains Found in Unincorporated Azusa, LASD Says

Homicide detectives were investigating on Sunday after human remains were found in unincorporated Azusa, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. 

The remains were discovered by local residents in the area of 15200 San Gabriel Canyon Road around 12:20 p.m.

The Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner – Coroner’s Office has recovered the possible human remains, which appear to be fossilized human bones, according to officials.

Deputies will work will the Coroner’s office to identify the remains. 

At this time, it is unknown how long the remains have been in the area, detectives said.
