LMU Student Sexually Assaulted in Library Bathroom: Campus Police

A Loyola Marymount University student was sexually assaulted on Sunday after a man took her into a bathroom inside the school's library, according to the LMU Department of Public Safety.

Officers were called to scene around 9:26 p.m. after reports surfaced of the alleged sexual assault in the first floor restroom of William H. Hannon Library.

The victim was reportedly taken into the bathroom where she was forced to perform a sex act on a man, police said.

The student reported the assault to campus police and was transported to the local hospital, according to authorities.

LMU officials are on heightened alert and added extra patrols throughout campus for student safety.

The Los Angeles Police Department will be working with LMU authorities in this ongoing investigation.
