Adam Sanchez, 20, was taken into custody Monday in the 600 block of Saint Paul Street by the Pomona Police Department with assistance from the U.S. Marshals Service, officials said.

He had been wanted in connection with an incident on Sept. 11 when he allegedly fired two rounds at an SUV that had a family of five, including three children, inside.

About 7:25 p.m. the driver of the SUV and the suspect apparently were involved in a “mutual road rage incident” in the area of Washington and Kingsley avenues, when the victim followed the suspect to Clark Avenue and Pasadena Street, police said.

The suspect pulled over, got out of the vehicle and fired two rounds toward the victim’s vehicle.

The victim’s vehicle was not struck and no injuries were reported.

Sanchez was booked into jail on suspicion of attempted murder, the Pomona Police Department said in a news release.
