Pedestrian Critically Injured in Studio City Hit-and-Run; Public’s Help Sought in Finding Driver

A pedestrian was critically injured last week while crossing a street in Studio City, and police are asking for the pubic’s help in finding the driver.

The 65-year-old man was struck by a car on Sept. 23 about 7:25 p.m. while walking in the 12800 block of Moorpark Street, the Los Angeles Police Department reported in a news release. The driver, who police said was driving a 4-door, tan, 1998 Saturn, hit the pedestrian and fled the scene without stopping to render aid.

According to the LAPD, the Saturn has a California license plate 6HAY595. George Ronald Nicoletti was listed as a person of interest in the case according to an LAPD community alert.

Paramedics transported the pedestrian to a local hospital where he remains in critical condition.
