Memphis Woman Says She Caught Burglars Having Sex on Her Couch

A Tennessee woman said she returned home from a weekend away to catch two burglars having sexual intercourse in her ransacked house.

"It's horrible in there," Memphis resident Jamie Barnes told WREG. "It's absolutely horrible in there. It's like they just had a big old nasty party."

Barnes said she came home to find her front door open after being away for a few days. When she walked in her home, she found the burglars having sex on her couch.

"I picked up my broom, I wanted to hit that man so bad," Barnes said. "She tried to grab one of my dresses and put it on and I snatched it from her, what are you trying to do?"

Tonka Barnes was arrested for aggravated burglary but the man fled through an alleyway before police arrived.

According to WREG, a neighbor saw the suspects taking bins of clothing out of the house. One of the suspects was also seen trying to sell some of Barnes' jewelry.

The home had also been ransacked and many of Barnes' appliances were taken.

Barnes said she was thinking about moving prior to the burglary, but now feels an urgency to get away.

"I don't feel comfortable at this house," Barnes said.
