The crash occurred about 4:45 a.m. when the SUV jumped a curb and struck the home in the 2500 block of Roscomare Road, said a spokesperson with the Los Angeles Police Department.

The driver was taken to a nearby hospital in unknown condition, the spokesperson said.

The SUV apparently crashed through a fence and narrowly missed a fire hydrant before slamming into the home, video showed.

Officials were investigating a possible gas leak following the crash, the spokesperson said.

No other injuries were reported as a result of the crash.
