Stabbing Victim Found Aboard Metro Bus in East Hollywood

A person found with a stab wound aboard a Metro bus in East Hollywood was hospitalized Thursday morning, police said.

Authorities responded to a report of a stabbing victim on a bus near Santa Monica Boulevard and North Vermont Avenue at about 6:12 a.m., said Officer Preciado with the Los Angeles Police Department.

It was unclear if the person was stabbed on the bus or got on the bus after being stabbed, Preciado said.

The victim was taken to a local hospital, but the their condition was unknown, Preciado said.

The incident was being investigated as an assault with a deadly weapon case, Preciado said.

No description of a possible attacker or attackers was available.
