5 Students Injured After Being Hit by Vehicle in Parking Lot of School in Sylmar

Five students were injured after they were struck by a vehicle outside of a school in Sylmar Tuesday afternoon, the Los Angeles Fire Department said.

The students were standing in a parking lot adjoining Lakeview Charter High School and Triumph Charter Academy — located at 13361 Glenoaks Boulevard — around 2:45 p.m. when two vehicles collided, an LAFD alert stated.

One of the vehicles “brushed” the group of students, fire officials said.

The students and a 19-year-old motorist all sustained minor injuries. They were transported to a local hospital for further evaluation, according to the alert.

Glenoaks was closed in both directions between Cobalt and Drell streets while the Fire Department conducted operations.

No additional information was immediately released.
