James Worthy shoots over Terry Dozier of the Charlotte Hornets (1989)

James Worthy is a Lakers legend; A Hall of Famer who is considered to be one of the 50 best to ever play in the NBA. Heplayed with the Los Angeles Lakers during one of the team’s most exciting periods–the “Showtime” era led by Magic Johnson, who once said: “James Worthy was one of the top 10–top 5–players in playoff history.” In fact, Worthy came alive during playoff games with a .544 postseason field goal percentage, earning him the nickname “Big Game James.”

Today Worthy is a respected basketball broadcaster and analyst for Spectrum Sportsnet. He has a foundation dedicated to helping at-risk youth, military veterans andtheir communities. And he’s a popular public speaker.
