Surveillance Video Captures Safe Being Stolen During Smash and Grab Burglary at Fullerton Flame Broiler

A safe was stolen from a Flame Broiler in Fullerton after two suspects used a rock to break the glass of the doors to get inside, and it was captured on surveillance video.

The smash and grab burglary happened about 1:50 a.m. Friday at the Flame Broiler located at Chapman and Raymond Avenues, the Fullerton Police Department reported. Two suspects used a rock to break the glass on the doors, and once inside they made their way to a back office where they kicked in the door.

Two suspects can be seen on surveillance video walking out of the Flame Broiler carrying the safe, and getting into a car that was parked in front of the restaurant.

The suspects got away with the safe and an unknown amount of cash, according to Fullerton police Sgt. Michael Heines.

Police were searching for the three suspects, while detectives were reviewing surveillance video.

Fullerton police said similar crimes have been happening all over the city, but it is unknown if they are related.
