Anaheim Man Arrested in Connection With Home Burglary Shown on Surveillance Footage

Officials on Thursday apprehended a man seen in security footage burglarizing an Anaheim home after receiving tips about his identity from the public, police said.

Surveillance cameras captured Anaheim resident Matthew Russell Kundrat, 20, jumping a fence at a home in the 1200 block of North Lighthouse Lane on Oct. 24, according to a press release from the Anaheim Police Department.

He then forced entry into the residence. Items stolen include cash, camera equipment and a 2004 silver Dodge Ram pickup with California license plate with the number 7J12688, according to Sgt. Daron Wyatt of the Anaheim Police Department.

Kundrat was arrested without incident during an investigatory traffic stop, authorities said. However, the truck has not been recovered and detectives are determining in he is involved in additional crimes, according to the statement.

Kundrat was detained on suspicion of burglary and possession of stolen property and his bail is set at $50,000, officials said.
