Few details were available about the multivehicle collision, which took place in a southbound lane of La Cienega Boulevard near Slauson Avenue around 7:50 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol’s incident log.

Six vehicles were involved in the chain-reaction crash, including a sedan that somehow became wedged on top of another, the CHP log stated.

It was not immediately known if any injuries were reported, but at least one ambulance could be seen near the crash site. Fire and law enforcement vehicles were also at the scene.

All southbound lanes appeared to be blocked just before 8:30 a.m., and traffic in the area was jammed, aerial video showed.

It was not known when the lanes would be reopened.
