Gayle Anderson was live in Irvine to begin our series of reports featuring the 2016 LA AUTO SHOW, this year known as AUTOMOBILITY LA / LA AUTO SHOW. What is AutoMobility LA? LA Auto Show officials report it’s built on the four year success of the Connected Car Expo and 109-year history of the LA Auto Show. They have created AutoMobility LA, the new auto industry’s first trade show with one brand, one schedule and one location to PRECEDE the ten-day public show. The LA Auto Show remains open to the public, Friday, November 18th through Sunday, November 27th.

We begin our auto show week series with AUTO TRADER EXECUTIVE EDITOR BRIAN MOODY to learn about the major award winning advances of auto manufacturer KIA exhibiting in the L.A. Convention Center’s West Hall at the L.A. Auto Show.

June 2016, J.D. Power reported “KIA Leads All Industry Brands in 2016 Initial Quality Study

Soul and Sportage Receive Initial Quality Awards: Kia ranks highest among all automotive industry nameplates in the J.D. Power 2016 U.S. Initial Quality StudySM (IQS). This significant milestone comes just one year after Kia ranked second overall in the 2015 IQS. It also represents the first time in 27 years that a non-luxury brand has led the industry in the U.S. Initial Quality Study. In addition to its industry-leading performance this year, Kia produces two award-recognized models: the 2016
Soul in the Compact MPV segment (second consecutive year) and the 2016 Sportage in the Small SUV segment.”
