Police: Man Arrested for Attempted Murder, Stabbing Person With Ice Pick During Domestic Dispute in Fountain Valley

A man was arrested for attempted murder after he allegedly attacked a person with an item similar to an ice pick during a domestic dispute, the Fountain Valley Police Department reported.

Officers responded to a domestic dispute call about 10:08 p.m. Saturday in the 15000 block of Silvertip Court. Police said the suspect, 48-year-old Courtland Drummond, stabbed the victim twice in the back with an item similar to an ice pick.

The victim, whose identity was not released, was taken to a local hospital.

Drummond was arrested on an attempted murder charge and being held on $545,000 bail in the Orange County Jail.
