A Los Angeles Police motorcycle officer was injured in a crash along the eastbound 10 Freeway near Arlington Avenue Thursday night, officials said.
The crash was reported about 9:25 p.m. in the Arlington Heights area and an ambulance was called for multiple contusions, Officer Tony Im said.
A car changed lanes in front of the officer and he crashed into the rear of the car, Im added.
The officer, who was on duty at the time, works at the west traffic division of the agency, Im said.
Aerial video from Sky5 showed the officer being put on a stretcher and into an ambulance. He was taken to a hospital with non life-threatening injuries, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The California Highway Patrol also responded to the crash.
Traffic was backed up in the area as emergency vehicles responded to the crash.
