A multi-vehicle crash involving a big rig has forced officials to shut down the southbound side of the 710 Freeway in Vernon Thursday morning.
Aerial video from Sky5 showed a pickup truck wedged between the big rig and the center divider near the Bandini Boulevard offramp as emergency crews assisted the crash victims.
The crash occurred about 6:30 a.m. and involved four to five vehicles, according the California Highway Patrol’s traffic incident log.
Traffic was completely stopped on the southbound side of the freeway due to the crash, video showed.
Officials reopened three lanes, leaving one still closed, just after 7:30 a.m., according to the CHP.
There was no immediate word on any injuries as a result of the crash.
