Authorities Seek Help Identifying Man Who Allegedly Robbed Santa Ana Gas Station Store

Authorities are asking for the public’s help identifying a man suspected of robbing a gas station store last month. The incident was captured on surveillance video.

The crime occurred about 6:50 a.m. on Oct. 13, when a man entered a 76 gas station store at First and Euclid streets and demanded money.

The victim refused and the man yelled at her and jumped over the display table while holding a knife, Santa Ana Police officials said in a news release.

The man is seen in surveillance video chasing the victim out of the store through the back before returning to rip the cash deposit box from the table.

He then drove away from the scene in a newer-model charcoal gray Kia Forte, police said.

"We’re hoping that somebody out there can identify this suspect. Obviously he’s very aggressive in nature. Had she not had a way to exit the store, we don’t know what would have happened to her,” Cpl. Anthony Bertagna said.

Anyone with information about the man or the incident can call Detective A. Garcia 714-245-8408 or email agarcia3@santa-ana.org.
