Emergency crews responded the 7800 block of West Foothill Boulevard about 3:12 a.m., Los Angeles Fire Department spokeswoman Margaret Stewart said.

Two victims were found at the scene of the crash by emergency personnel, Stewart said.

A man who was a passenger in the vehicle died at the scene, Los Angeles Police Department Sgt. Bruce Alvarez said.

The driver, identified only as a woman, was extricated from the vehicle but died after being taken to a local hospital, Alvarez said.

Neither of the victims have been identified.

The crash was so hard it compromised the stability of part of the building, Alvarez said.

No injuries were reported inside the home.

Investigators were trying to determine what caused the crash.
