    A 23-year-old Irvine man was convicted Wednesday of murdering his father in order to steal his car and money so he could visit his girlfriend in another state. Steven Joseph Bruno was found guilty of one felony count of second degree murder in connection with the 2012 crime, according to a news release from the Orange County District Attorney’s Office.     An off-duty LAPD officer was arrested Thursday in Huntington Beach after allegedly committing a lewd act in public, authorities announced on Wednesday.
