Allie Mac Kay is a feature reporter on the KTLA 5 Morning News. She calls her segments “The fluff in between car chases, death and destruction”…. and she would have it no other way. She gets to highlight businesses, events, and people all over the southland, every morning.
After working all over the country from Salt Lake City to Sacramento and New York City – she’s thrilled to be back home in Los Angeles – and on the show she began watching in high school.
She gets asked the same 2 questions every day. What time do you wake up and what time do you go to bed?
The answers are 2:30am and never before 10pm. She runs on coffee and laughter, and gets to see Los Angeles freeways with no traffic.
Allie is a champion for keeping the arts in schools and, as a Melanoma survivor, she also speaks out about skin cancer and the dangers of tanning.
