Jim Nash has been a KTLA 5 Reporter for 12 years, covering the full spectrum of news — from crime to politics to Hollywood.
Before he came to Los Angeles, Jim was a Washington Correspondent for the national chain of Tribune Stations, including KTLA. For 10 years, he covered the White House, under the Reagan, Bush I and Clinton Administrations. While in DC Jim also did Main Street business reporting for the nationally-syndicated First Business morning program.
Jim’s television news career began 40 years ago in Denver, then moved to TV stations in Idaho, Santa Barbara, Las Vegas and back to Denver, before he moved to Washington DC.
Throughout his reporting career, Jim has interviewed presidents and stars, villains and heros, but he favors working the “cop beat,” dealing with the drama and struggles of average people, like most of our KTLA viewers. Because of his extensive business reporting background, Jim Nash also loves covering the economy, which has been Topic One for so many people in recent years.
Jim calls KTLA “my mountain top, the best place I’ve ever worked — the most talented group of people in this ever-changing news industry. This is the best TV station in America, and I’m proud to be a part of the Channel 5 family.”
