Jim Nash

Jim Nash is a general assignment reporter for KTLA. He joined the station in September 2000.

Before he came to Los Angeles, Jim was a Washington, D.C., correspondent for the national chain of Tribune stations, including KTLA. For 10 years, he covered the White House, under the Ronal Reagan, George H.W. Bush and Bill Clinton administrations. While in D.C., Jim also did main street business reporting for the nationally syndicated “First Business” morning program.

Jim’s television news career began 40 years ago in Denver, then moved to TV stations in Idaho, Santa Barbara, Las Vegas and back to Denver, before he moved to Washington, D.C.

Throughout his reporting career, Jim has interviewed presidents and stars, villains and heroes, but he favors working the “cop beat,” dealing with the drama and struggles of average people. Because of his extensive business reporting background, Jim also loves covering the economy.

Jim calls KTLA his “mountain top,” saying it’s “the best place I’ve ever worked — the most talented group of people in this ever-changing news industry. This is the best TV station in America, and I’m proud to be a part of the Channel 5 family.”
