SOUTH PASADENA, Calif. (KTthief-picLA) — Residents in South Pasadena are being warned about a Grinch who’s stealing packages right off front doorsteps.

Surveillance video has captured the thief in action, and police are hoping that someone might recognize her.

One homeowner got suspicious after a package failed to arrive last month.

When she checked her security video, she spotted the woman snatching the package off her front porch.

Police say thieves usually carry out these types of crimes in two different ways.

“One is they just follow the delivery trucks, or they’re just driving around the neighborhood randomly and just looking out for packages,” said Det. Richard Lee.

The suspect has been linked to two other thefts in the neighborhood on the same day.

If you recognize the woman in the video, you’re asked to contact South Pasadena police.
