HOLLYWOOD, Calif. (KTLA) — The search continues for a gunman who killed one person and injured two others outside a Hollywood nightclub early Sunday.

The shooting happened around 2:05 a.m. Sunday outside Empire on the 1700 block of North Cahuenga Boulevard, police said.

The incident was captured on video obtained exclusively by TMZ.

Police believe the dispute began inside the club, then spilled into the street at closing time.

“They turned the lights on, everybody’s coming out. There’s girls, you know, scuffling and talking trash to each other,” said witness Jonathan Valera, who was at the club.

At one point on the video, you can hear someone in the crowd mention that they saw a gun. And moments later, shots rang out.

“As soon as I heard the shots, I felt my brother yank the back of my shirt so that we could duck behind a car,” Valera recalled.

“It was me and three other people, four other people ducking behind a car just listening to gun shots.”

A critically injured man at the scene was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Police said he was 19 years old.

A second man had a bloody lip from a punch and was taken to a hospital and later released. A woman, who possibly was a bystander, was shot in the foot.

The gunman fled before police arrived. Authorities said they have a “good idea” who the suspect is, but have yet to make an arrest.
