REDONDO BEACH, Calif. (KTLA) — A $25,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of the man who stabbed two teens at a South Bay mall.

It happened around 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 29 on the third level of the South Bay Galleria, in front of the AMC Theaters.

A boy and a girl, both 13, were stabbed multiple times in what police say appears to have been a random attack.

Surveillance video briefly captured the suspect walking.

He is described as a black man in his 40s with a gray beard and a tall, medium build.

He was wearing a beanie and a green and brown fatigue-type jacked.

Police say a 13-year-old boy and a 13-year-old girl were stabbed in the chest multiple times.

The victims underwent surgery and are now listed in stable condition.

The suspect’s clothing is described as a knit beanie cap, green/brown fatigue (not camouflage) type jacket, blue jeans, black t-shirt.

Investigators said he used a kitchen knife to stab the teens.

Authorities say they have not been able to come up with a motive for the attack and believe the stabbings may have been a random act of violence.
