Story Summary

Traveling Vietnam Wall

Gayle Anderson was live in Valencia at the Westfield Valencia Town Center hosting the only west coast stop for a traveling 360-foot, 80-percent scale replica of the Washington D.C. Vietnam Veterans Memorial.

The four-day event, featuring the wall and accompanying displays, is designed as a patriotic and educational presentation to honor U.S. veterans of all military conflicts. Local Boys Scouts of America will read the list of each of the more than 58,000 names on the wall, spanning 24 hours a day for the four days.

In honor of the occasion, Westfield Valencia Town Center will be decorated in a patriotic theme, featuring an exhibit of seven, 6×6-foot hearts designed by local artists.

Also, Westfield Valencia Town Center will hold nightly tribute ceremonies, offering restaurant discounts as well as hosting a Facebook contest for members to vote for a local artist who will perform “America the Beautiful” at the exhibit’s opening ceremonies.
