Hines Ward, Football Star-Turned Triathlete  and Ironman Champion Paula Newby-Fraser were on the show to talk preparations for the Kona Ironman race. Football legend Hines Ward  has partnered with the Refuel team for ‘Got Chocolate Milk?’ to launch “Become One,” a new documentary Web series on the ‘Got Chocolate Milk’ website that follows Ward and three other everyday athletes as they train for the 2013 Ironman World Championship triathlon. A teaser trailer for the series debuts on Friday.

Ironman is 140.6 miles of swimming, biking and running in some of the most brutal conditions imaginable – across the lava fields of Kona, Hawaii.  Hines and the other “Become One” athletes will make their official debut together in Los Angeles on Saturday at Endurance Live – the “Oscars of Endurance Sports.”

Hines Ward retired from professional football in 2011 after a stellar 14-year career in which he caught 1,000 career receptions, won two league championships and earned title-game MVP honors. Ward was known to make big plays, but he also was a tenacious competitor who never took a down off, and who blocked downfield with the ferocity of an offensive lineman. The 2013 Ironman World Championship triathlon will present his most daunting challenge yet, as Ward will train fiercely to recondition his body and take his game from the football field to the lava fields of Kona.
