Masked Robbers Steal Money from Church Employees

church-robberyVAN NUYS, Calif. (KTLA) — Police are searching for three men who robbed employees of a Van Nuys church who were transporting money.

It happened on Dec. 3, at about 3:30 p.m., in the parking lot at Church on the Way on Sherman Way in Van Nuys.

Authorities say 2 masked robbers in a compact vehicle got out of their car and confronted the employees.

One of the suspects hit one employee on the head as they removed cash from the employees’ vehicle.

The suspects then returned to their car and were driven away by a third suspect.

The robbers were described as males between the ages of 25 to 30 years old, standing 5 feet 7 inches tall, and weighing around 130 pounds.

They were last seen wearing dark clothing.

After the robbery, the suspects drove south from the location.

The only description of their  vehicle is a grey, four-door compact with a dealer paper plate on the rear.
