LANCASTER (KTLA) — Two Good Samaritans are being thanked for apprehending a robbery suspect who punched a clothing store owner in Lancaster.

The suspect entered the Family Fashion clothing store at 1026 East Avenue J around 6:50 p.m. Friday night, according to Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department officials.

Once inside the store, the suspect struggled with the store owner and punched him in the face, causing him to bleed.

He then pulled clothes from the owner’s hands and ran from the store with the store owner hot on his heels.

Two Good Samaritans spotted the chase and joined in.  When they caught up to the suspect, they found him hiding behind a trash can behind a business.  They tackled him to the ground and held him until deputies arrived.

Theodore Heyse, 33, was arrested for robbery and booked on $50,000 bail.

He is due in court on Tuesday.
