OC Deputies Ready to Patrol Yorba Linda

YORBA LINDA, Calif. (KTLA) — There will be a changing of the guard Friday in Orange County.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Department will begin patrolling the streets of Yorba Linda at the stroke of midnight.

Brea police officers are being replaced after Brea officials found themselves struggling to provide enough officers to patrol both cities.

The Yorba Linda City Council voted to end its contract with Brea in April.

The city has entered into a five-year contract with the Sheriff’s Department.
